Tests in this bundle will help assess liver function. They help diagnose diseases such as B and C type liver viral inflammations.

  • Morphologytest is helpful in the assessment of general health state of the patient. It focuses on parameters assessing the red blood cell, white blood cell and platelet systems. Results beyond the norm might be a first symptom of worrying changes in the organism.
  • OBtest helping assess the general health state and recognise and monitor the course of heavy and protracted diseases and inflammations.
  • CEA (carcinoembryonic antigen), AFP (alpha(α)-fetoprotein)CEA is produced (among others) by cancer cells in the large intestine. In large concentrations it occurs also in the case of a stomach, thyroid, nipple or lung cancer. Heightened levels of AFT antigen occurs in the case of liver, stomach and bile duct cancer.
  • Prothrombin time (PT; INR)basic marking for patients having problems with blood coagulation. Increase of PT value indicates liver diseases.
  • Total bilirubinmaking the total level of bilirubin in the blood is useful in diagnosing and controlling the course of diseases of the liver and bile ducts.
  • antinuclear and cytoplasmic antibodies ANA-1 - AU02is an entry test to detecting autoimmunological inflammation of the liver. In case of a positive result it is necessary to perform the ANA2 test.
  • Cholinesteraseenzyme produced in the liver. Cholinesterase activity drop can indicate liver diseases or can accompany pesticide poisoning.
  • Proteinogramtests helpful in diagnosing immune system disorders, cancer and liver dysfunction
  • Liver testsliver tests (AST, ALT, ALP, GTP, BIL) – a set of tests fully testing the functioning of the liver and bile ducts.
  • HBsAg (HBs antigen)marker confirming type B viral liver infection.
  • anti HCVtest that helps determine if the patient has been infected by type C hepatitis virus. In the case of a positive result it is advised to conduct a HCV test by molecular diagnostics means.

It is worth Knowing

Liver is a multifunctional organ vital for proper functioning of human organism.

Its most important functions are:

  •     regulation of metabolism
  •     removing toxins
